Oregon Field Guide on Talus Caves

Document Actions
This OPB show on a special property Three Rivers helped to conserve aired in February 2007.

The Talus Caves are located on private land that is protected by a 29-acre conservation agreement established in September 2005. The caves create a unique habitat and are home to several "at risk" species of bats, including the fringed bat, the long-eared bat and the Pacific big-eared bat or Townsend's bat.  Oregon Field Guide made an exclusive visit to this important series of caves and the protection of the area was highlighted. The show featured Jeff Pratt, the property owner, Keith Daellenbach, president of the Madrone Wall Preservation Committee, Matt Hampton, GIS analyst at Metro, and Virginia Bowers, Conservation Director for Three Rivers.

We have copies of the show at our office, please stop by if you would like to view this episode of Oregon Field Guide!
